Residents & homeowners: Pledge to go Lights Out

I proudly join Lights Out Louisville

As a Louisville-area resident or homeowner, I pledge to minimize all non-essential lights from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. during peak spring and fall bird migration—April and May and September and October—as well as make seasonal lighting changes. Specific actions I will take include:

⦿ Turning off or reducing spotlights and/or decorative lighting
⦿ Putting outdoor lighting on timers and/or adding motion sensors indoors and outdoors, wherever possible
⦿ Down-shielding exterior safety lighting or limiting lighting to ground level
⦿ Turning off or dimming interior lights, or drawing window coverings after sunset
⦿ Choosing warmer tones (less than 3000 K) for outdoor lighting

(We will never publish, share, or sell your contact information.)
