Fall 2026 bird-collision monitoring surveys
We survey sections of downtown Louisville a few days a week during spring and fall migration to collect data on bird-building collisions.
These citizen-science events are open to the public. They require no prior volunteering experience, and you may commit to as many or as few days as you’d like.

We’re always looking for volunteers with a passion for conservation and a desire to take action!
As a volunteer for Louisville Audubon and Lights Out Louisville, you’ll have opportunities to help support fun events like birding field trips and local festivals; canvass neighborhood business districts; contribute guest blogs on any topic related to our mission, and much more.
